A view of the world from my own unique perspective

This montage is based on an observation made by a friend of mine. He said that a surprising number of rock and pop tunes seem to be written in the key of A, and then gave me some examples. He’s right – while we are listening to different songs, we’re often hearing the same note played over and over again – A. Here are ten examples – try to guess the artist and song titles, based on these short, single-note snippets.

There are two versions of the montage: the second one contains one second of silence between each audio sample, and the first version doesn’t (which makes it a little more challenging).
